Who am I?

My own healthcare journey started on the day I was born with a congenital heart defect. A true cardiologist’s daughter, as someone once called me, I watched my dad advocate for me throughout my lifetime and learned what a positive impact having a patient advocate by one’s side has on the quality of care and health outcomes.

I did not follow in my dad’s footsteps to become a doctor. Instead I followed my youthful passion and obtained a degree in English Language and Literature. I found my path in strategic planning and brand advocacy where I managed advertising agencies on campaigns promoting consumer products. Aside from developing interpersonal skills, I obtained knowledge and abilities throughout my medical journey. My expertise at navigating insurance and breaking down medical terms and procedures in a way that makes sense helps my clients to make empowered healthcare decisions.

As my parents aged, I took on the role of reciprocating the detailed attention given to my healthcare and became their healthcare advocate as well as my children’s. I was made keenly aware of system gaps, communication failures and insurance pitfalls that are so common in today’s medical environment and decided that I would take my abilities into the community to help others. I hope I am able to make navigating your healthcare journey less stressful as I take on the challenges for you.
